§ 150.20 CONFLICTS OF INTEREST.
   (A)   The purpose of this section is to satisfy the requirements of IC 36-1-27-4.
   (B)   As used in this section, CONFLICT OF INTEREST means a direct or indirect financial interest in the issuance of a permit, pursuant to IC 36-1-27-1.
   (C)   As used in this section, PERMIT has the meaning set forth in IC 36-7-4-1109(b).
   (D)   A building commissioner, building code official, or inspector of the City of Aurora, Indiana may not issue a permit or oversee the issuance of a permit through a subordinate if the Building Commissioner, Building Code Official, or Inspector has a conflict of interest.
   (E)   A building commissioner, building code official, or inspector of the City of Aurora, Indiana shall report a conflict of interest to the Aurora City Attorney.
   (F)   Promptly upon notification of the conflict of interest, the Aurora City Attorney shall notify the Building Commissioner for the City of Lawrenceburg, Indiana of the conflict of interest and the need for the Building Commissioner for the City of Lawrenceburg, Indiana to review and approve or deny the permit application.
   (G)   The Building Commissioner of City of Lawrenceburg, Indiana is hereby granted the authority to review City of Aurora, Indiana permit applications that are subject to this section in situations where a building commissioner, building code official, or inspector of the City of Aurora, Indiana has a conflict of interest.
