(A) Creation. There is hereby established a DC Public Safety Asset Improvement Fund to receive Dearborn County Local Option Income Tax funds specifically raised for the purpose of public safety.
(B) Purposes of the fund. The funds on deposit in the DC Public Safety Asset Improvement Fund may be used for the purchase, repair and maintenance of capital assets used in the operation of the Police and Fire Departments and any other department use deemed appropriate for the public safety within the City of Aurora.
(C) Appropriations. The City Council of the City of Aurora may authorize the expenditure of funds from the DC Public Safety Asset Improvement Fund by appropriation in the same manner as other funds appropriated that receive tax monies, upon making a finding that the proposed use of the funds is consistent with the intent of the fund.
