§ 34.20 SELECTION OF CAPTAINS AND LIEUTENANTS.
   (A)   The Fire Department shall have three Captains, three First Lieutenants and three Second Lieutenants chosen from its membership by the Fire Chief.
   (B)   No person shall be appointed to the position of Captain who has not been a member of the Fire Department for at least five years prior to appointment.
   (C)   No person shall be appointed to the positions of a First or Second Lieutenant who has not been a member of the Fire Department for at least two years prior to the appointment.
   (D)   When a Captain and First or Second Lieutenant resigns or is succeeded in office, for any reason other than expulsion, he shall continue as a member of the volunteer fire department.
