§ 32.27 ELECTION OF OFFICERS; POWERS AND DUTIES.
   It shall be the duty of the City Planning Commission to organize and elect one of its members as Chairperson, one of its members as Vice-Chairperson and one of its members as Secretary. The City Planning Commission shall hold hearings for the purpose of recommending to the Common Council the adoption of an ordinance regulating and restricting the use of land and the location of buildings and structures, including sanitary and safety standards. This authority shall not be construed as a limitation on the City Planning Commission, but the Commission shall have authority to make recommendations as may be authorized by the laws of the state.
