§ 31.079  CITY ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR.
   A City Electrical Inspector shall be appointed who shall enforce all laws relating to the installation of electrical wiring and connections thereto. No person other than the holder of an electrical inspector’s certificate or qualification shall be appointed to the office of City Electrical Inspector. The City Electrical Inspector shall perform the duties and have the powers as are provided for that office by the laws of the state. The City Electrical Inspector shall perform the other duties and issue the permits as the City Council may direct. The City Electrical Inspector shall, in the discharge of his or her official duties and upon identification of his or her official capacity, have authority pursuant to this section to enter into any building, structure or premises in the city at any reasonable hour for the purpose of inspection. The inspection shall be carried out as provided by the laws of the state, including, but not limited to, Neb. RS 29-830 through 29-835, inclusive, as amended or superseded.
