§ 70.002  POLICE ENFORCEMENT; STREET TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT; ARREST AUTHORIZATION.
   (A)   The city police are hereby authorized, empowered and ordered to exercise all powers and duties with relation to the management of street traffic and to direct, control, stop, restrict and regulate, when necessary, temporarily divert or exclude, in the interest of public safety, health and convenience the movement of pedestrian, animal and vehicular traffic of every kind in streets, parks and on bridges.
   (B)   The city police are hereby authorized, empowered and ordered to undertake the enforcement of the ordinances of this title and are hereby particularly empowered to arrest persons for the violation of the ordinances of this title.
