§ 99.08 ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF BURIAL.
   (A)   Fee schedule; restriction. All certificates of burial shall be issued in accordance with the cost schedule. No certificates of burial shall be issued for commercial or promotional purposes or for a profit.
   (B)   Certificates of burial issued; contents. Upon having made a plot selection and full payment of the designated fee(s), the office of the City Clerk will execute a certificate of burial. The burial lot described more particularly in the certificate of burial shall be used for the purpose of human interment alone. The purchase of a plot or the issuance of a certificate of burial does not transfer ownership of property but only conveys the right of burial of human remains on that land.
   (C)   Burial assignments. Burial assignments, if known at time of payment, will be included on the certificate of burial. Burial assignments made post certificate issuance must be presented in writing in a format acceptable to the cemetery management; verbal agreements or representations will not be recognized. The certificate holder or legal representative may at any time designate in writing to the cemetery management who the holder does or does not wish to be buried in the holder's burial plot(s). Such notice, if not witnessed by the Cemetery Administrator or designee, shall be notarized by a Notary Public.
