§ 111.01 SOLICITORS TO REGISTER AND OBTAIN LICENSE.
   (A)   No person shall engage in the solicitation for money or property for charitable or any other purposes, or operate as an itinerant, or nonresident or "door-to-door" salesperson or agent for any purpose within the city unless and until that person has first registered with and furnished the information requested to the City Clerk/Treasurer and procured from this officer a license for this purpose.
   (B)   The City Clerk/Treasurer shall furnish a license to all applicants therefor, when he has been furnished with complete answers to all questions propounded to the applicant upon a form to be provided by him for this purpose. The answers shall reveal the name and address of the applicant, the purpose of his solicitation or sales efforts, and such other information as the City Clerk/Treasurer may deem from time to time to be necessary to fully reveal the nature of the project sought to be carried out by the applicant, and for the protection of the interests of the people of the city. The City Clerk/Treasurer may require this form to be sworn to by the applicant before issuing the license, and he shall receive payment of the license fee of $25 from the applicant before issuing a license.
   (C)   This section shall not apply to those occupations or businesses where a license fee is provided by ordinance for engaging therein.
