(A) Any unused portion of a customer’s utility deposit fee shall be held for a maximum of six months after the termination or discontinuance of utility service.
(B) Any utility deposit fee, or remaining portion thereof, which remains unclaimed by the customer or their legal representative for more than six months after the termination or discontinuance of utility service, shall be forfeited and may then be transferred to the general operating fund of the town’s utility.
