9-1-22: DRIVERS MUST HAVE LICENSES OR PERMITS:
   (A)   No person shall drive any motor vehicle, motorcycle or motor driven cycle upon any highway, street or alley in the city unless such person has a valid license or permit, or a restricted driving permit, issued by the state.
   (B)   No person shall cause, authorize or knowingly permit a motor vehicle, motorcycle or motor driven cycle owned by him or under his control to be driven upon any highway, street, alley or sidewalk in the city by any person who is not authorized or licensed to drive by the state.
   (C)   Those persons listed as exempt in 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes section 5/6-102, as amended, shall also be exempt from the requirement of subsections (A) and (B) of this section. (1972 Code; amd. Ord. 95-06, 11-21-1995)
