It shall be unlawful for any person to open, establish, maintain or operate a bed and breakfast establishment within the corporate limits of the city without first obtaining a license therefor from the department. Such license shall expire one year from the date of issuance. Applications for original licenses shall be made on forms furnished by the department. Each application to the department shall be signed by the applicant and accompanied with the license fee required by the department. License fees are not refundable. Each application shall contain: the name and address of the applicant, or names and addresses of the partners if the applicant is a partnership, or the names and addresses of the officers if the applicant is a corporation, or the names and addresses of all persons having an interest therein if the applicant is a group of individuals, and association, or a trust; and the location of the bed and breakfast establishment. Upon receipt of an application for an original license, the department shall inspect such bed and breakfast establishment to ensure substantial compliance with this code. (Ord. 00-03, 4-4-2000)
