2-1-24: EXISTING ESTABLISHMENTS ON ANNEXED PROPERTY:
Whenever the city annexes land upon which a licensed premises is situated, the local liquor control commissioner, notwithstanding the limitations imposed under section 2-1-11 of this chapter regarding the number of licenses permitted, may issue a license of substantially the same classification as the license that the licensee of the annexed premises had prior to annexation; provided, that the license and the licensed premises meet the requirements of all laws and ordinances applicable to the regulation of the sale of alcoholic liquors. The licensee of any such annexed premises shall make application for such license not less than thirty (30) days before the effective date of the annexation of the licensed property.
