A. Weight Limits On Certain Streets:
1. No vehicle in excess of twenty eight thousand (28,000) pounds in gross weight shall be permitted to travel upon North Main Street from the C&IM Railroad tracks north to the city limits at North Grand Avenue. (Ord. 02-85, 4-1-1985)
2. Whenever any vehicle is operated in violation of the provisions of this section, the owner or driver of such vehicle may be prosecuted for such violation. Any person, firm or corporation convicted of a violation hereunder shall be fined for the first or second conviction an amount equal to or not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), and for the third and subsequent convictions by the same person, firm or corporation, not less than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
