(a) Effective January 1, 2004, the elected office of the Village Clerk-Treasurer shall be changed to an appointed office to be known as the Village Fiscal Officer.
(b) The office of Village Fiscal Officer shall perform the duties provided by law for the clerk and the treasurer and any other duties consistent with the nature of the office that are provided for by ordinance of the Village.
