(a) There shall be a Civil Service Commission consisting of three members appointed by the Mayor. Each member shall serve a term of six years, and an appointment to fill an interim vacancy shall be for the unexpired term of the office. Members of the Commission shall not hold any other office or position in Ashland City government.
(b) The Civil Service Commission shall elect one of its members as chairman, one as vice-chairman and one as secretary. The Commission shall provide in its rules the duties and responsibilities of each officer.
(c) The Commission shall hold such meetings as necessary to transact the business of the Commission, in accordance with the procedures and rules established by the Commission. Two members of the Commission shall constitute a quorum at any meeting of the Commission. The affirmative vote of at least two members of the Commission is required to adopt any motion or resolution, or take any official action.
