1501.09 INVESTIGATION OF FIRES.
   The Chief of the Fire Division and the inspectors of the Division are authorized and empowered to investigate the cause of fires and alleged fires, examine witnesses, compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of books and papers, and to do and perform all other acts necessary to the effective discharge of such duties. Such officers may administer oaths, make arrests and enter, for the purpose of examination, any building which, in the opinion of such officers, is in danger from fire.
