905.01 PERMIT REQUIRED FOR DRIVEWAY CONSTRUCTION.
   No person shall make or construct any driveway or entrance from any public street in the City, across and over any sidewalk or curb upon any street or alley and to any private property bounding or abutting on any street without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Building and Zoning Inspector. All permits herein provided for shall become null and void six months from the date of issuance. There shall be no fee for a driveway permit.

905.02 MAXIMUM WIDTH.
   No driveway to any building or tract of land operated as one place of business shall be wider than thirty-five feet at any place between the curb and the inside sidewalk line, or if there is no sidewalk, between the curb and the property line.

905.03 MAXIMUM NUMBER OF DRIVEWAYS.
   Not more than two driveways shall be constructed from any street to any tract of land operated as one place of business. Where a place of business is located at the intersection of two streets, not more than two driveways shall be constructed from each street, and no driveways shall be constructed nearer than twenty feet from the longest point of the curb radius at an intersection. 905.04 SAFETY ISLAND BETWEEN DRIVEWAYS.
   Where two driveways are constructed from any street to any place of business, a safety island not less than ten feet in width, shall be constructed between the driveways and shall conform to the sidewalk grade existing on such street.

905.05 REPAIR, RELOCATION AND RENOVATION.
   The repairing, relocating and renovating of the now existing driveways shall be done in the following manner.
   (a)    A permit must be first obtained from the Building and Zoning Inspector for such repair work.
   (b)    All changes, alterations, repairs and renovations must comply with the requirements and specifications of this chapter.

905.06 SPECIFICATIONS.
   All work performed under this chapter shall be subject to the approval of the City Engineer. (Ord. 4122. Passed 12-2-57.)
