A driver's permit may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Director of Public Safety upon his own initiative or upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police or the Judge of the Municipal Court. Before suspending or revoking such permit the Director shall afford the permittee the opportunity of a hearing upon the charges. A second suspension for the same reason, or in any case a third suspension of a driver's permit shall operate as a revocation of such permit. (Ord. 3582. Passed 4-20-53.)
