(a) No person shall possess for sale at retail, wholesale or otherwise; or sell at retail, wholesale or otherwise; give away, discharge, ignite or explode; or in any other way possess any fireworks as defined herein, within the Municipality, except as provided in Section 549.09.
The term “fireworks” means any compositions, or device prepared for the purpose of producing a visible or an audible effect by combustion, deflagration or detonation, except ordinary matches and except as provided in Ohio R.C. 3743.80.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
