§ 32.02 TOBACCO USE RESTRICTED IN COUNTY BUILDINGS.
   It is the policy of Ashe County that smoking and the use of other tobacco products and/or e-cigarettes is prohibited in all county buildings and within 50 linear feet of the buildings wherein the Department of Social Services is housed. This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, interns, clients, contractors, vendors, visitors and any other individuals entering the facilities. Per G.S. 14-258.1, the Ashe County Jail may give or sell vapor products or FDA-approved tobacco cessation products, such as over-the-counter nicotine replacement therapies, including nicotine gum patches, and lozenges, to inmates while in the custody of the jail.
