For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GOODS, WARES AND MERCHANDISE. Any and all goods, wares and merchandise except fruits and other farm products.
ITINERANT SALESMAN OR MERCHANT. Any person, firm, corporation, or unincorporated association offering for sale goods, wares or merchandise, other than fruits and farms products, who conducts said business within the county for less than six consecutive months, except in case of discontinuance for one of the reasons as set forth in G.S. § 105-53.
