§ 10.20 CITY SEAL.
   (A)   The following described city seal is hereby adopted as the official seal of the city. The top half of the city seal shall read "CITY OF ASHEBORO, NORTH CAROLINA" and the outer border of the bottom half of the city seal shall read "DECEMBER 25, 1796." Inside the outer border, at the top of the city seal, shall read "CENTER OF THE STATE", and the balance of the interior of the city seal shall depict Asheboro as nestled in the Uwharrie Mountains, the background showing Back Creek, Sheppard, Caraway and Dave's Mountain. This seal shall also show the historic plank road that linked Fayetteville and Old Salem, leading to the present and the future growth and progress through Asheboro's development of its many varied industries, fine schools, churches and homes.
   (B)   The City Clerk shall be the custodian of the city seal.
