(A) Whenever authorized signs are placed, erected or installed indicating a zone of quiet, no person operating a motor vehicle within any such zone shall sound the horn or other warning device of such vehicle except in an emergency, nor shall he permit a radio to emit sound that can be heard above the sound of traffic within such zone, or make any unnecessary noise.
(B) A violation of this section is punishable as an infraction.
