The duties of city police officers shall include but not be deemed exclusive to the following:
(A) To detect, apprehend, arrest, and present in a court of law those charged with violating any general statute or city ordinance.
(B) To maintain community peace and tranquility.
(C) To perform any and all pertinent duties relating to police officers' functions.
