§ 33.44 FIRE EQUIPMENT FUND.
   (A)   Purpose. It is necessary from time to time to purchase firefighting equipment to furnish fire protection for said town.

   (B)   Creation. There is hereby created and established a Fire Equipment Fund to provide for the purchase of firefighting equipment.

   (C)   Duties and powers. To provide funds for said Fire Equipment Fund, said town and the Town Council and officers thereof shall have the power to levy annually for five years after the approval of said proposed fund by the State Board of Tax Commissioners, a tax on all taxable property in said town of not more than that now or hereinafter prescribed by law on all taxable personal or real estate property within the corporate limits of said town. The same shall be done in the manner and as prescribed by the laws of this state and no expenditures shall be made from said fund except after an appropriation therefor has been made in the manner provided by law for the making of such appropriations.
