(A) A need now exists for the establishment of a Fire Protection Territory Equipment Replacement Fund for the Argos Fire Protection Territory for all uses as set out in I.C. 36-8-19-8.5.
(B) The Town Council will adhere to the provisions of I.C. 36-8-19-8.5. The proposed fund will not exceed $0.0333 on each $100 of assessed valuation. The tax rate will be levied beginning with taxes due and payable in 2022 and thereafter, continuing until reduced or rescinded.
(C) The Fire Protection Territory Equipment Replacement Fund is subject to the approval of the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance.
(D) The town is the provider unit of the Argos Fire Protection Territory. The other participating units are Green and Walnut Townships, all in Marshall County. Argos, as provider unit, is authorized to establish this fund. This section contains or incorporates by reference the contents of the agreement to establish the Fund.
