(A) Upon the re-establishment of the Park Board, the term of the members initially appointed in 1988 shall be one, two, three, and four years. All terms shall expire on the first Monday in January but an appointee shall continue in office until a successor is appointed and qualified.
(B) As a term expires, each new appointment is for a four-year term. All terms expire on the first Monday in January and appointing authorities shall make initial appointments within 90 days after the reestablishment of the Department. If an appointment for any new term is not made by the first Monday in April, the incumbent shall serve another term.
(C) In making initial appointments an appointing authority in order to provide continuity of experience and program, shall give special consideration to the appointment of members from previous Park and Recreation Boards.
(D) If a vacancy on the Board occurs, the appointing authority shall appoint a person to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term.
