§ 70.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99.
   (B)   Any person convicted of violating the provisions of § 70.37 shall be fined $250.
   (C)   (1)   Settlement of fines:
         (a)   Tickets issued for violations of the following sections of the Motor Vehicle Code (ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5) may be settled as herein provided:
            1.   6-1 - Overtime parking.
            2.   6-4(A)(1)(a) - Stopping, standing or parking on the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of street.
            3.   6-4(A)(1)(b) - Stopping, standing or parking on a sidewalk.
            4.   6-4(A)(1)(c) - Stopping, standing or parking within an intersection.
            5.   6-4(A)(1)(d) - Stopping, standing or parking on a crosswalk.
            6.   6-4(A)(1)(e) - Stopping, standing or parking/safety zone.
            7.   6-4(A)(1)(f) - Stopping, standing or parking alongside or opposite street excavation or obstruction when stopping, standing or parking would create obstruction.
            8.   6-4(A)(3)(a) - Parking within 50 feet of nearest rail of railroad crossing.
            9.   6-4(A)(3)(b) - Parking where official signs prohibit parking.
            10.   6-4(A)(3)(c) - Parking in yellow zones.
            11.   6-4(E) - Improper parking.

         (b)   Tickets issued for violations of the following sections of the Motor Vehicle Code (ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5) may be settled as herein provided:
            1.   6-2 - Parking for sale or repair.
            2.   6-4(A)(1)(g) - Stopping, standing or parking on any bridge or other elevated structure upon a highway or within a highway tunnel.
            3.   6-4(A)(1)(h) - Stopping, standing or parking on any railroad tracks.
            4.   6-4(A)(1)(i) - Stopping, standing or parking at any place where official signs prohibit stopping.
            5.   6-4(A)(1)(0) - Stopping, standing or parking on any controlled-access highway.
            6.   6-4(A)(1)(k) - Stopping, standing or parking in the area between roadways of a divided highway, including crossovers.
            7.   6-4(A)(1)(l) - Stopping, standing or parking in any alley that is open and maintained.
            8.   6-4(A)(2)(a) - Standing or parking in front of a public driveway.
            9.   6-4 (A)(2)(b) - Standing or parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
            10.   6-4 (A)(2)(c) - Standing or parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk.
            11.   6-4(A)(2)(d) - Standing or parking within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign or traffic-control-signal located at the side of the roadway.
            12.   6-4(B) - Moving vehicle not lawfully under a person's control.

         (c)   Tickets issued for violations of the following sections of the Motor Vehicle Code (ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5) may be settled as herein provided:
            1.   6-3 - Parking on private property without the consent of property owner.
            2.   6-4(A)(2)(e) - Standing or parking within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station and on the side of a street opposite the entrance to any fire station within 75 feet of the entrance (when properly sign-posted).
            3.   7-2 - Abandoned vehicle within village.
            4.   7-3 - Leaving of partially dismantled, non-operating, wrecked or junked vehicle on street.
            5.   7-5 - Storing unlicensed vehicle.

         (d)   Tickets issued for violations of the following sections of the Motor Vehicle Code (ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5) may be settled as herein provided:
            1.   6-4(D)(1) - Oversized vehicle parking public/private property.

         (e)   If any ticket is not settled as provided in this section, fines shall be imposed upon conviction, as elsewhere set out herein.
      (2)   Enforcement through legal action.
         (a)   Any person, firm or corporation in whose name a citation alleging a violation enumerated in this code is issued, and who shall neglect or refuse to pay the citation after written notice, shall be indebted to the village in the amount specified herein, unless and until a complaint is filed in circuit court.
         (b)   In the event the village brings legal action for the enforcement of any provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code herein, the village may assess a legal fee of $50 if settlement is reached prior to initial court appearance, and $75 if settlement or judgment is obtained after a court appearance. This fee shall be in addition to any other fines, fees, penalties or costs as provided by this division (C) or state law.
         (c)   Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than $75 and no more than $750.
   (D)   Any person found to be in violation of § 70.42 shall be subject to a fine of not less than $75 and not more than $750.
