§ 34.31 GENERAL PROVISIONS.
   (A)   Approved alarm system. No alarm system shall be installed, maintained or operated within the village limits so as to directly transmit an alarm to the Police Department or the Village Hall without prior written approval of the President and Village Board of Trustees.
   (B)   Good working order. Any alarm system installed or operated within the village limits shall be maintained in good working order so as not to generate false alarms due to system defect or malfunctions and every alarm system so installed or maintained within the village limits shall be so operated as not to transmit false alarms.
   (C)   List of names. Every alarm user of an alarm system installed and operated within the village limits shall provide the Police Department and keep current an up-to-date list of names and telephone numbers of persons who are authorized and readily available to assist at the premises or facility at any time an alarm is transmitted therefrom.
   (D)   Disconnection. Any user of an alarm system not installed, maintained or operated as provided herein, after reasonable written notice and an opportunity to be heard at a regular or special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the village, may have police response to the premises of alarm origination termination.
   (E)   Private direct service only. Relay to the Police Department of alarms received by a private alarm answering service at an alarm answering point shall only be by direct line service from the point terminating at a private telephone installed and maintained at the Police Department at the expense of the alarm service, permission for the installation and maintenance of which line and telephone has been and continues to be authorized by the President and Board of Trustees for the village.
