§ 32.06 OVERTIME.
   (A)   Every regular employee, excluding department supervisors and the Village Administrator, shall be paid overtime compensation of one and one-half times the employee’s regular hourly pay for each hour worked over 40 hours each week.
   (B)   Hours not worked because of vacation, illness, excused or unexcused absences or lack of work shall not be added in computing the number of hours worked each week to determine overtime.
   (C)   Reasonable rest periods of short duration, running from one to 20 minutes, shall be counted as work time. Bona fide meal periods shall not be considered as work time, but meal periods where the employee is required to be on duty shall be considered as work time.
   (D)   No employee shall be entitled to work any overtime unless the overtime work is authorized by the department supervisor and the Village Administrator prior to the time of work, unless an emergency situation arises whereby overtime work is necessary and obtaining the necessary authorization is impractical.
