§ 91.03 SMOKE DETECTORS.
   (A)   No single-family, two-family or multi-family dwelling shall be constructed within the village without the installation of smoke detectors as follows:
      (1)   For single-family dwellings: not less than one smoke detector for each story;
      (2)   For two-family dwellings: not less than one smoke detector for each story for each family unit; and
      (3)   For multi-family dwellings: not less than one smoke detector for each story for each family unit.
   (B)   For purposes of this section, attics and basements shall be considered as separate stories and in split level dwellings, each separate level shall be considered as a separate story.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or other entity to complete construction of a single-family, two-family or multi-family dwelling without installing smoke detectors, as provided in this chapter.
