(A) Whenever any motor vehicle without driver is found parked, standing or stopped in violation of this code or any ordinance, the officer finding the vehicle shall take its registration number and may take any other information displayed on the vehicle which may identify its user and shall conspicuously affix to the vehicle a parking citation.
(B) The parking citation shall instruct the owner or operator of the motor vehicle to deposit the parking citation and money at the Police Department or in a receptacle provided by the Police Department within 72 hours.
