(A) Subgrade stabilization fabric shall be placed between the pavement structure and the street
subgrade for all streets except alleys and temporary turnarounds and pavement transitions.
(B) If required by the Village Engineer, a structural geogrid base reinforcement shall be installed between the pavement structure and the street subgrade instead of the subgrade stabilization fabric.
(C) The Village Engineer may require geotechnical investigations of the roadway subgrade to determine whether cement or lime stabilization shall be required. For new roadway construction, geotechnical investigations shall be required.
