(A) Title. This subchapter shall be known and may be cited as the Town Sales Tax Ordinance.

(B) Effective. This subchapter shall become and be effective on and after September 10, 1985, subject to approval by a majority of the registered voters of the town voting on the same at a general or special municipal election.

(C) Purpose. It is hereby declared to be the purpose of this subchapter to provide revenues for the support of the functions of municipal government of the town.
