§ 32.36 NON-TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS.
   (A)   A resident who is arrested for the violation of a non-traffic ordinance shall be released immediately by the arresting officer if the resident acknowledges receipt of a citation by signing it unless it reasonably appears to the officers:
      (1)   The person may cause injury to himself, herself, or others or damage to property if released;
      (2)   The person will not appear in response to the citation; or
      (3)   The person is arrested for an offense against a person or property.
   (B)   If a person fails to appear in response to a citation, a warrant shall be issued for his or her arrest, and his or her appearance shall be compelled.
   (C)   If a resident is not permitted to secure his or her own release by signing the citation, he or she shall be admitted to bail either before or after arraignment or shall be released on his or her own recognizance.
   (D)   If a nonresident is arrested, he or she shall be admitted to bail either before or after arraignment.
   (E)   Bail shall not be more than the maximum fine provided for by ordinance or each offense charged.
