The Fire Department of the town is hereby authorized and directed to answer all outside calls within an area of 255 square miles with the following boundaries: approximately five miles east, ten miles west, nine miles north, and eight miles south from the nearest fire station except when, in the opinion of the Fire Chief, it is inexpedient to do so or because of another fire in the town, broken apparatus, impassable or dangerous highways, or other such physical conditions.
