(A) The Chief of Police of the town and members of the Municipal Police Department are hereby authorized, within the limits set forth in this traffic code, to impound vehicles under the circumstances hereinafter enumerated.
(B) No impoundment shall be valid unless made under order of an authorized police officer and in strict adherence to the procedures established in this subchapter and by other policies of the town.
