§ 71.04 ACCIDENT REPORTS; LEAVING AN ACCIDENT.
   (A)   The driver of a vehicle which is in any manner involved in an accident resulting in bodily injury to or death of any person or damage to any vehicle or other property to an apparent extent of more than $50 shall, as soon as practicable, report such accident to the Chief of Police or to the Police Department. Making a written report of the accident in the Police Department, as soon as practicable after the accident (to be forwarded to the State Department of Public Safety in accordance with the law), shall be deemed compliance with this section.
   (B)   Leaving the scene of an accident, as defined by current state law, shall be unlawful within the corporate limits of the town.
