§ 52.23 USE RESTRICTIONS.
   (A)   Water use restrictions will be mandatory between April 1 and October 30 unless exempted pursuant to division (D) below. Use restrictions shall include the following restrictions.
      (1)   Outdoor irrigation of landscaping/lawns utilizing hand watering shall be allowed every day of the week for one hour per day between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. only. All hoses must be equipped with a positive shutoff valve.
      (2)   After June 1 of each year, existing swimming pools can only be filled to replace normal water loss due to evaporation. No permits for new pools will be issued.
      (3)   Use of fountains is prohibited.
      (4)   Restaurants may only serve a glass of water upon request by the customer.
      (5)   Washing of personal vehicles is prohibited at any location not specifically designed and permitted for vehicle washing.
      (6)   Washing down of sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, streets, and gutters is prohibited.
      (7)   Washing down of buildings is prohibited unless for fire protection.
      (8)   All water leaks must be repaired within a reasonable time frame.
   (B)   Water restrictions shall remain in effect until rescinded by action of the Town Board of Trustees. The restrictions shall be mandatory between April 1 and October 30 unless exempted pursuant to division (D) below.
   (C)   Private wells must be registered with the town. A weather-resistant sign indicating “well on site” must be placed in a manner visible from the street. Well hydrants must be marked with a weather-resistant sign or colored stake to indicate well water use.
   (D)   During periods of excess water or in the opinion of the Board that use restrictions are not needed, the Board may adopt a resolution lifting the use restrictions described herein.
