§ 36.01 GENERALLY.
   All municipal issues and offices shall be combined on the statewide primary and general election ballots whenever possible. The issuance of separate ballots shall be avoided in a statewide election if municipal offices or issues can be reasonably be combined with the non-partisan ballot and state law does not require otherwise. When the municipality holds an election in conjunction with the statewide primary or general election, the election shall be held as provided in the Election Act. Any other election by the municipality shall be held as provided in the Election Act.
