§ 92.056 CROSSINGS.
   The governing body may order and cause to be constructed, under the supervision of the municipal official in charge of streets, such street, avenue and alley crossings as the governing body shall deem necessary. When a petition for the construction of any such crossings is filed by an interested resident in the office of the Municipal Clerk-Treasurer, said Municipal Clerk-Treasurer shall refer such application to the Chief Street Official who shall investigate and make his or her recommendation to the governing body. Action by the governing body on such application, whether the application is approved or rejected, shall be considered final.
