It shall be unlawful for any person within the corporate limits of the municipality to make, or cause to be made, loud or disturbing noises with any mechanical device operated by compressed air or engine braking and used for the purpose of assisting braking on any vehicle, commonly called, “jake braking.” The governing body shall cause notices to be posted or erect signs indicating this prohibition.
