§ 30.30 COMPENSATION OF MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS.
   The compensation of any elective official of the municipality shall not be increased or diminished during the term for which he or she shall have been elected except when there has been a combination and merger of offices; except that when there are officers elected to the Council, and the terms of one or more members commence and end at different times, the compensation of all members of the Council, board or commission may be increased or diminished at the beginning of the full term of any member thereof. No person who shall have resigned or vacated any office shall be eligible to hold the same during the time for which he was elected if during the same time the emoluments thereof were increased. The Mayor shall receive a salary of $100 per regular meeting attended and $50 per special meeting attended. Each member of the City Council shall receive a salary of $100 per regular meeting attended and $50 per special meeting attended. Compensation shall be paid by the City Clerk on a monthly basis.
