(A) On July 27, 2023, the Apple Valley City Council directed a study to be conducted for the purpose of evaluating whether to place restrictions on the establishment or operations of cannabis businesses.
(B) It is in the city’s interest to restrict the sale of cannabis products while the study is on-going.
(C) All property located within the City of Apple Valley (the “Property”) is affected by this interim use ordinance.
(D) This interim use ordinance is adopted and is applicable to the Property for the purpose of protecting the planning process and the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Apple Valley.
(E) Commencing on the effective date of this interim use ordinance and ending on January 1, 2025, or such sooner time as the City Council may determine, the Property shall be subject to the following:
(1) No Property may be used for the operation of a cannabis business.
