§ A18-4 PERMITTED ACCESSORY USES.
   (A)   Zone 1. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Off-street parking, refuse storage and loading spaces, as regulated by this article;
      (2)   Buildings temporarily located for purposes of construction on the premises for a period of not to exceed the time necessary to complete said construction; and
      (3)   Public telephone booths and other essential public service facilities provided all yard requirements are met.
   (B)   Zone 2. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Off-street parking, refuse storage and loading spaces, as regulated by this article;
      (2)   Buildings temporarily located for purposes of construction on the premises for a period of not to exceed the time necessary to complete the construction; and
      (3)   Public telephone booths and other essential public service facilities provided all yard requirements are met.
   (C)   Zone 3. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Any accessory use permitted in the R districts;
      (2)   Accessory uses customarily associated with and incidental to the conditional uses permitted in the multiple-dwelling districts; and
      (3)   Putting greens, shuffleboard courts, picnic areas, community buildings and similar recreational or service areas for use by the residents of the premises.
   (D)   Zone 4. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Any accessory use permitted in the R district;
      (2)   Accessory uses customarily associated with and incidental to the conditional uses permitted in the multiple-dwelling districts; and
      (3)   Putting greens, shuffleboard courts, picnic areas, community buildings and similar recreational or service areas for use by the residents of the premises.
   (E)   Zone 5. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Any accessory use permitted in the R district;
      (2)   Accessory uses customarily associated with and incidental to the conditional uses permitted in the multiple-dwelling districts; and
      (3)   Putting greens, shuffleboard courts, picnic areas, community buildings and similar recreational or service areas for use by the residents of the premises.
   (F)   Zone 6. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Any accessory use permitted in the R districts;
      (2)   Accessory uses customarily associated with and incidental to the conditional uses permitted in the multiple-dwelling districts; and
      (3)   Putting greens, shuffleboard courts, picnic areas, community buildings and similar recreational or service areas for use by the residents of the premises.
   (G)   Zone 7a. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Surface parking lot to serve a transit station with a minimum 300-space parking ramp.
   (H)   Zone 7b. Within this zone, the following uses or uses deemed similar by the City Council shall be permitted accessory uses:
      (1)   Buildings temporarily located for the purposes of construction on the premises for a period not to exceed the time necessary for such construction.
      (2)   Temporary sales office.
      (3)   Decorative landscape features.
      (4)   Parking ramps and structures in conjunction with a commercial retail building, residential structure, or residential/commercial mixed use structure.
      (5)   Gardening and other horticultural uses where no sale of products in conducted on the premises.
      (6)   The keeping of domestic animals commonly referred to as "house pets" for noncommercial purposes.
      (7)   Repair and maintenance of motor vehicles owned by a resident of an apartment building; see screening requirements, § 155.348.
      (8)   Garage sales by a resident of an apartment building; garage sales shall not to exceed three per calendar year.
      (9)   Parks, playgrounds, putting greens, shuffleboard courts, picnic area, community building, swimming pool, tennis court, play apparatus, and similar recreational or service areas, for use by occupants of the premises.
      (10)   Public telephone booths and other essential public service facilities provided all yard requirements are met.
      (11)   Walk-up outdoor ATM in conjunction with a bank or savings and loan.
      (12)   Off-street parking, refuse storage, and loading space as regulated elsewhere in this code.
      (13)   Outdoor restaurant seating by and adjacent to a permitted restaurant hereunder provided physical barriers are installed to delineate the outdoor seating area; a minimum of five feet of sidewalk along the curb and leading to the entrance of the restaurant shall be unobstructed by tables and other encumbrances; and the area is kept in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
      (14)   Temporary outdoor display or sales of retail goods conducted by an occupant of a multi-tenant retail space subject to the following conditions and any others as required by the City Council:
         (a)   Outdoor displays shall be permitted directly in front of an establishment, provided that at least five feet of clearance is maintained at the storefront entrance, and shall not interfere with pedestrian or vehicular access;
         (b)   Display items shall be placed on professionally constructed and commercially available shelving and/or platforms only. Pallets and cardboard boxes shall not be used to display goods;
         (c) Outdoor displays shall be clean, litter-free, and well-maintained at all times and shall be compatible with the colors and character of the storefront from which the business operates;
         (d)   Outdoor displays shall be permitted only during business hours and shall be removed at the end of business day.
