§ 35.02 RECLAIMED PROPERTY; PROCEEDS.
   The lawful owner of any property held by the city, may reclaim the property upon satisfactory proof of ownership thereof prior to its sale. If the property has been sold, the former owner shall be entitled to the payment of the sale price upon application and satisfactory proof of ownership to the City Clerk within six months of the sale. Upon application and satisfactory proof of ownership, the owner shall be entitled to receive the actual sale price of the property, except that there shall be deducted from the sale price any expenses incurred by the city in connection with the storage and sale of the property.
