(A) All owners of buildings, residential units, or apartments located within the village shall affix the number assigned to said building, residential unit, or apartment on the outside of said structure in a clear and conspicuous place where it is visible from the street on which said structure is located not later than January 1, 1985. Numbers affixed by owners shall be not less than three inches in height. Roman numerals and written numbers are prohibited.
(B) An owners of buildings, residential units, or apartments located within the village shall remove any numbers affixed on the outside of said structures that are not otherwise authorized by this subchapter. Said unauthorized numbers shall be removed at such time as the numbers authorized by this subchapter are affixed to said structures.
