§ 33.07 TIME OFF.
   (A)   All employees shall receive three additional holidays per year, said holidays being Presidents Day, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve.
   (B)   All part-time employees shall receive four hours of holiday pay per holiday.
   (C)   The Water and Sewer Superintendent shall receive ten days of vacation for his or her first eligible year of employment.
   (D)   Any compensatory time off accumulated by an employee shall be used within 360 days from when it is earned, and shall not be accrued after such period.
   (E)   An employee required to use his or her personal vehicle for travel on village business beyond the corporate limits of the village shall be reimbursed for such travel at the applicable Internal Revenue Service business mileage rate. Travel beyond the corporate limits using an employee’s personal vehicle in lieu of a village vehicle must be pre-approved by the Mayor in writing for an employee to be eligible to receive mileage reimbursement. Requests for reimbursement shall be in writing, signed by the employee, and shall state the date, destination, purpose, and mileage. All such requests must be submitted for reimbursement by employees no later than two weeks after such travel occurred.
   (F)   Upon written approval by the Mayor, and prior to an employee’s enrollment, any tuition expenses incurred by an employee for water or sewer licensing, or CDL licensing, shall be reimbursed after a certificate of completion and proof of a passing grade of the class attended are provided to the Mayor and Council. Additional license fees and test fees will be paid by the village only if such licenses or tests are required for fulfillment of an employee’s job duties.
   (G)   Upon obtaining any of the aforementioned licenses and receiving reimbursement from the village, any employee whose employment is terminated, voluntarily or involuntarily, within three years from obtaining such reimbursement shall be required to pay back to the village said sums so received. Said reimbursement sums may be withheld from the employee’s final paycheck if the village so elects. No such obligation shall exist for any employee who receives reimbursement and maintains continual employment for three or more years after receipt of reimbursement. Employees shall not be eligible for regular or overtime pay in order to attend schooling for licensing or certification classes, as such classes are not considered part of the employee’s normal job duties.
