§ 33.06 EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK.
   (A)   Adoption. An employee handbook is adopted, together with all forms and addenda, establishing the terms and policies of employment for all non-elected employees of the village.
   (B)   Amendments.
      (1)   Section 302. Holidays be amended to add four hours of holiday pay for part-time employees. Effective January 1, 2012.
      (2)   Section 302. Presidents Day, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve be added as paid holidays. Effective January 1, 2012.
      (3)   Section 303. Employees are to be paid at their regular rate and forfeits court pay to the village.
      (4)   Section 304. Three days of bereavement be added for immediate family as explained in FMLA Act, being 29 U.S.C. §§ 2611 et seq.
      (5)   Section 306 - Vacation.
         (a)   Covered employees are encouraged to use available vacation leave for rest, relaxation and
personal pursuits.
         (b)   Employee classifications that qualify for paid vacation leave are: All full-time exempt and non-exempt employees.
         (c)   Qualifying employees will be eligible for five days paid vacation after successful completion of his or her probationary period. Said vacation may be taken after said probationary period and before the anniversary of his or her first full year of employment. Upon completion of his or her second consecutive full year of employment with the village, qualifying employees will be eligible for ten days of annual paid vacation. Years of service shall be computed to the anniversary date of employment with the Village of Apple Creek.
         (d)   After completion of five years of consecutive employment, qualifying employees will thereafter gain one additional day of paid vacation per consecutive year of employment after his or her fifth complete year of employment. No employee, however, shall have more than a maximum of 25 annual paid vacation days. The chart illustrating this accrual can be found in Section 306 of the Employee Handbook.
      (6)   Section 501. Police Chief is to receive comp time up to 150 hours per year with Mayor’s approval.
