(A) Group health insurance coverage shall be made available to all eligible employees, who shall be defined as all full-time exempt and non-exempt employees.
(B) Optional coverage shall also be made available for covered employees’ eligible dependents, generally defined as the covered employee’s legal spouse and/or dependent children.
(C) Village employees’ spouses who are employed elsewhere and are eligible for health insurance coverage through their own respective employers shall be deemed ineligible dependents. Ineligible dependents shall be excluded from health insurance coverage through the village and must seek coverage through their own place of employment. Working spouses who have been terminated, however, are not required to elect COBRA coverage, but shall become eligible for coverage as a dependent upon severance from employment.
(D) Section 305 of the employee handbook as adopted June 22, 2004, and subsequently amended, shall be amended to reflect this change of eligibility.
